I was called today by Nick from Month of Sundays to tell the unbelievably sad news that Marcus Morris, mandolin player with A Month of Sundays suffered a fatal heart attack on Friday 30th March.
Our thoughts and meditations go out to his family and friends.
After Balladeers and Chancers, as usual, we sat around the bar and those of us there decided that we would arrange a bus to visit AMOS in Ledbury at their session on 29th April.
This decision now assumes an unintended poignancy.
The plans are currently in their nascent stage but we'll put them up here as the details firm up
I've asked John at the Dukes to accept all donations...the intention is that the session on 29th should be from the community of musicians to the family..... The session, at the Retreat, Ledbury was originally set up by Marcus.

Balladeers and Chancers is an acoustic, non-exclusive night that builds on the laid back and welcoming environment at the Dukes pub in Presteigne for musicians and customers alike. Every other month we create a space where firt time, occasional or experienced performers have a 20-30 minute spot to play/sing to a friendly audience.
