Thursday 29th March

Hi all,

the blogs been down recently due to our low broadband connectivity, apparently a lifestyle choice according to BT as we have the audacity to live in the countryside

I'm really looking forward to the next couple of Balladeers and Chancers, mostly because there are new acts and some returning diamonds but also because I'm going to get a chance to perform

to start then..

Grey Wolf, is a fine duo of Jim Allen and Martin Thomas. They play acoustic American music ranging from old time dance and drinking tunes to traditional songs - although they also play the odd British tune. Jim is one of the UK's finest old time banjo player and teachers and Martin isn't! As a duo they play a range of instruments ranging from banjo, guitars, mandolin and appalachian dulcimer.
Both Martin and Jim have many years experience in playing acoustic folk music and since they formed in 2010 they have been establishing a reputation as being one of the finest traditional american music duos in the west midlands.
Continuing the cannine theme, another ex Floor member appears in
Red Dog, another duo of Andy Cook and  Paul Brett, bringing Paul strong songwriting skills to the fore with  a range of instruments including Cuatro, bazouki, mandolin,Fiddle, guitar and possibly a rhythm section of acoustic bass and Djembe

If you've not seen A Month of Sundays, you'll not want to miss this .Now officially recording artistes ,led by the fine vocals and guitar of Nick Trigg (guitar, vocals),
Eric Porter (guitar, vocals),
Adrian Whiles (bodhran, doumbek, djembe, snare, shaky egg),
Marcus Morris (mandolin),
Andrew Findlay (Harmonica). they're appearing for an extended set to appreciate Nick returning from New Zealand to play Balladeers on his birthday..so line the bar with shorts(not the Kiwi variety) and lets get locked in..it'll be a cracker

so please pass it on, tell your friend and neighbours and if you want to perform or you know any budding musicians out there who need to be heard, point them our way
