so I missed the Broad Sheep deadline..again!
This is our last in the season Balladeers though the Dukes and i are mulling over a small outdoor event later in the summer so I'll keep you posted on that.
this months performers are
Rhythm and Bob..they played earlier in the year and despite their modest assessment of their newly formed band put in a muscular and tight performance.This one might be slightly pared down as their bass player has drifted away since but they grow in assuredness
Star of the Sea.....this lot bring together performers from several traditions and experiences and are very much one of our 'big tent' performers,bringing a carousing but finely tuned act that you dont want to miss

The Treefrogs i know are known to some of you feat Nick Trigg,Mike Ruddick,Mark Stevenson and Ken Appleby. its theer first appearance at Balladeers and is another perromance that could probably stand alone
Wattie and Bragen..after an absence from playing at Balladeers for several seasons I've been persuaded back after Howard suggested he might want to accompany me. I'm fortunate to have such a fine musician to help flesh out my stuff and i hope you enjoy it..if nothing else it gives you time to get a pint in

Balladeers and Chancers is an acoustic, non-exclusive night that builds on the laid back and welcoming environment at the Dukes pub in Presteigne for musicians and customers alike. Every other month we create a space where firt time, occasional or experienced performers have a 20-30 minute spot to play/sing to a friendly audience.
