Thursday March 25th

hi all and my apologies for the late appearance of this blog but those of you on the e-mail list will be all too aware of recent travails at Watty Villas
so onto the performances for March

In no particular order of appearance Toby Wainwright Johns makes a welcome return after recording his new album The Book of Buried Wings. I cant find a link but go to Reverb Nation for his page Those who saw Toby last will recall he has a strong use of dynamics in his playing and singing, underpinned by his classical playing

Paul Hassett has become a Balladeers regular. Each performance he brings new songs he is trying out which reflect his own life and world view. This is one of his few gigs so enjoy whilst you can

Mr Morris and Mr Trigg kindly contacted me with pictures and words and then suggested if I was interested I might like to see some of their stuff which I did and you might like to too, as a fourpiece called Soundproof I think we are beginning to look like having another interesting evening

And finally but by no means...Steve Littlejohn will be known to some of you as the congenial co-proprietor of Knighton Music Centre...'well tonight Matthew'...h leaves the shops and brings some chops..should be a very good night indeed

Final Word

As you may know for the last two years I've balladeers and chancers has been asked to perform in Hay on Wye Fringe Festival and have again this tear. However the logisitcs of running it so close to the May Balladeers at the Dukes has become apain so..
