Welcome back.
this months line up includes The Return of Mr Lloyd a four piece featuring the tireless Tony Lancett, msome of you will recognise as the soundman and key engineer for Balladeers and a host of other gigs at the Dukes. This new line up i doubt will be playing ballads...get in early to avoid disappointment
Some of you will remember John Eyre for his fine balladry,others the shock of seeing a man in a kilt and full regalia.John returns with another of his projects Loxley a three piece acoustic performing madrigals and melodies.
Emma and The Professor need little introduction to you all and promise to be in best roof lifting mood as one of their close friends Wicksey will be celebrating (another?) birthday...so i think they will be the final late night barnstormers.
I do believe we may also have a young Chancer though despite his friends/family telling me about him he's yet to speak to me...i await.....
so another full and varied night.
Please can you all have a think of people you know who may want to play at balladeers.
Although we have a fine roster of performers this needs to keep growing and changing..none of us want it to become cliquey or repetitive.
Any ideas for spreading the word further greatly appreciated.

- So what is this?... Balladeers and Chancers is an acoustic, non-exclusive night that builds on the laid back and welcoming environment at the Dukes pub in Presteigne for musicians and customers alike. Every other month we create a space where firt time, occasional or experienced performers have a 20-30 minute spot to play/sing to a friendly audience. We want it to be a place where you feel welcomed to perform for the first time, meet other musicians.There's no door charge but we hope you will show your appreciation on the night towards performers' costs.The only other thing we ask that you pass the word about us on..thanks..Stephe
