Simon and Dave performed several years ago as Code X..they've since got a whole lot of gear and refined their set...as they note, 'old enough to know better but still think Manc Indie is cool'..which it is and always will be..

- So what is this?... Balladeers and Chancers is an acoustic, non-exclusive night that builds on the laid back and welcoming environment at the Dukes pub in Presteigne for musicians and customers alike. Every other month we create a space where firt time, occasional or experienced performers have a 20-30 minute spot to play/sing to a friendly audience. We want it to be a place where you feel welcomed to perform for the first time, meet other musicians.There's no door charge but we hope you will show your appreciation on the night towards performers' costs.The only other thing we ask that you pass the word about us on..thanks..Stephe
