Thursday 27th November

Welcome to the second night of season 3.

It's a welcome return of Howard Bragen who took Balladeers by storm last year. He's been active performing throughout the county since then as well as recording an album and going into production manufacturing the logarhythm, an amplified kick plate as used by blues players to create a rhythmic accompaniment to their playing. He'll no doubt be adding this to his performance on the night but in the meantime if you want to see what the likes of Seth Lakeman is playing go to www.log-jam.co.uk.

Consider combining the dulcet tones of the brummie accent with the banjo and many of you will think of fingernails on a blackboard, lemon juice in your eye, sandpaper between the teeth...and you'd be right. Attempt to moderate it with the lilting Scouse accent and doggerel and the sense of disaster is complete.
Last time Jim Allen and Ken Crowther performed there were smiles and tears in equal part..smiles each time they stopped, tears each time they started again..
these are rare and special performances of this talented duo..come and enjoy

In the spirit of Balladeers and Chancers richardlewinb is a busker Pete Mustill met in Hereford. He's performed around the globe and like you this will be the first time i've heard him..

As for the Chancer give me a call ..and see you all on the night.
